TESTA Qrowd FAQ

What is the TESTA Qrowd community?

TESTA Qrowd is a crowd sourced community of Quality Assurance (QA) and software testers that does specialized work for the iGaming and sports betting industries. The community is entirely remote, working from all parts of the world. Testers access the TESTA Qrowd Platform to get test cases and report the results of the testing, which often includes uploading a screen recording of the test.

How much can I earn and when do I get paid?

You can earn between 45-100 dollars per hour, depending on the kind of test cases you receive and a single testing job can be as short as 15 minutes or as long as 1 hour. Your TESTA Qrowd community manager will confirm the hourly rate of pay with you. It will depend on your past experience and performance on your trial test. Over time you will be evaluated and given a rating which and increase over time. Higher rated testers make more per hour and get more test cases. TESTA pays weekly so you’ll never have to wait too long to get paid. TESTA uses Paypal, Payoneer, or Wise.

How flexible is a tester’s schedule?

You’ll have testing deadlines but when you test is entirely up to you. As a remote worker your time management is your responsibility. However, it’s important to respond to messages from TESTA promptly. Your performance evaluation will note your responsiveness and high performing testers receive more test cases.

What qualifications do I need?

Experience with app testing and QA are good to have but not necessary. Familiarity with iGaming and sports betting apps is the same, it’s better if you have domain experience when working with TESTA but there are test cases for total beginners as well—so general knowledge of testing, QA and iGaming can get you in the door if you’re keen to work. Take the trial test and see you you do!

Do I have to write the TESTA trial test?

Yes. The trial test gives us a good idea of your aptitude as a tester and also gives you an brief introduction to the kinds of tasks you’ll be doing.

If I pass the trial test, when will I begin?

If you do well on the trial test and your first project will start in a couple of days or a couple of weeks, depending on your location, availability of your devices and the specific requirements of our testing clients. Your community manager will let you know.

How will my performance as a tester be evaluated?

Your performance is assessed based on both professional outcomes and personal traits. Professionally, evaluations consider the accuracy and detail of your bug reports, the number of issues identified, and the quality of your reporting. Personally, your ability to meet deadlines and honor commitments is critical. These factors influence your tester rating, which affects your pay rate and the volume of test cases you receive. High performance leads to greater earning potential and opportunities within the community.

How safe is my personal information?

All personal information you provide to us is held by TESTA and used only by TESTA. We don’t sell your information. TESTA values your contribution to our business goals and would never share your information with anyone else.

How does payment testing work?

Many TESTA Qrowd assignments are for payment testing on iGaming apps. Deposits and withdrawals are required to test the process’ user experience. New testers are often concerned about payment testing because it requires depositing and their own money and then withdrawing it. There are rare cases when the withdrawal might be less than the amount deposited and TESTA always reimburses testers who encounter this situation.

What devices do I need for testing?

The minimum device requirement is a mobile smartphone. But the more devices you have the more testing work you may get. Many testers have several mobile devices including smartphones and tablets, many also test on desktop computers.
